Job Cost

Job Cost is the heart of Viewpoint Software. It is designed to give both Accounting and Operations Managers timely, accurate information on the progress of jobs in formats that are useful to them. An extensive library of job cost reports and “drill-down” inquiries are provided with Viewpoint. These reports and inquiries can be copied and modified, or new reports can be developed using the flexible Crystal Reports™ system.

Integration
The highly integrated design of Viewpoint streamlines the flow of data to Job Cost in an efficient, intuitive, and controlled process. Job budgets and change orders may be entered directly in Job Cost, or imported from various estimating products through the Viewpoint Project Management system.

Committed and Actual Costs
Committed costs are established as the job “buyout” flows through the Purchase Order and Subcontract modules. Actual costs are updated from Payroll, Accounts Payable, Equipment Management and Inventory.

Track Percent or Unit Complete
