The Viewpoint V6 Software Business Intelligence presents a graphical view of your business performance.  Fully integrated within the Viewpoint V6 Software client and Microsoft SQL Database, BI leverages OLAP cubes to build user-friendly data views and Microsoft Excel 2007 to provide a highly customizable and graphical user experience.

CUBES

The first cubes include job cost and project management key performance indicators, frequencies and durations, and initiates the email notifications.

Job Cost:

• Gross Profit (Estimated, Projected, Actual)
• Cash Flow
• Backlog (Current and Pending Projects)
• Buyout Status
• Labor Productivity
• Pending Contract and Cost changes

Project Management:

• Document Tracking Performance(RFI’s, 
Submittals, Transmittals, RFQ’s,
and Other Documents):
– Number of outstanding documents
– Days overdue/until due
– By Firm
• Pending Change Orders
• Compliance Tracking for Subcontractors and Suppliers

Excel 2007

Viewpoint BI comes with pre-built Excel 2007 dashboard templates that 
can be customized to meet your individual need. PivotTables enable users to drill down into details with templates utilizing the new charting capabilities in Excel 2007. These Excel charts can be fully integrated into SharePoint web parts.

Technology

Cubes can be accessed by other third party tools that communicate with Microsoft Analysis Services.  Examples include, Reporting Services, 
Performance Point Server, and SharePoint.

The cubes include full job data security enabling everyone to see only their information.

Cubes are built using the Business Intelligence Development Studio
(included with Microsoft SQL Server client tools), and are stored in a
Microsoft Analysis Services database, which is also included as part of Microsoft SQL Server.

SQL Server can be configured to automatically load information into the cube on a scheduled basis (Cubes can be processed on demand as well).
