Jay Haladay began his business career at IBM in 1974, where he held a number of sales and management assignments during his 10 years with the company. While President of Digital Systems in 1984, Haladay helped evolve the company into a division of Convergent Technologies (later, part of Convergent Business Systems, a Unisys subsidiary). While leading these organizations, Haladay formed Coaxis, Inc. and purchased them from Unisys in 1990.

Haladay’s association with the construction software market dates back to 1983. As a consistent innovator in applying leading-edge technologies to address the industry's unique business problems, Jay is often sought as a subject matter expert for trade and industry organizations and his knowledge of this industry is invaluable as the Chair of the Board of Directors.  He counts the development of RiverEast Center, a Gold LEED Certified building and headquarters for Coaxis as one of his most unique and proudest accomplishments. Building a strong management team that shares his vision for employee growth and unparalleled customer satisfaction is Haladay’s driving force. Born and raised in Los Angeles, golf, snowboarding and cycling occupy his free time outside of raising his dynamic, interesting family. His two oldest sons, Scott and Miles, are both active in Viewpoint Construction Software and contribute greatly to the company’s success. Haladay attained a BA in Economics and his MBA from UCLA.

John Burton is Co-founder of Updata Partners. His experience in information technology spans three decades as a senior executive of high-growth private and public companies. From 1989-1995, he was with Legent Corporation, an international, public enterprise software firm, as President, COO, and CEO. During his tenure Legent grew from $126 million to over $500 million in revenue. Prior to Legent, Burton co-founded Business Software Technology, Inc. (BST), a successful VC-backed firm acquired by Legent, where he served as Officer, COO and Director.

Burton has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, having executed over twenty-five such deals in operating roles and in Board-level and advisory capacities. Burton has served on the boards of several publicly held companies, including Banyan Worldwide (BNYN), ePresence (EPRE), MapInfo (MAPS), OTG Software (OTGS), SAGA Software (SAGA) and EIS International (EISI). He has been recognized by the technology community in the mid-Atlantic with the 2001 Financier of the Year Award and the 2002 Earle C. Williams Award. Burton was a founding director member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) and is currently President of the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association (MAVA). He graduated with honors from Boston College.

John C. Lee IV, Chief Executive Officer, founded Lee Technologies in 1983, the nation’s leading expert on design/build, commissioning, staffing, operations/maintenance and 24x7 monitoring of a data center’s critical infrastructure. Lee Technologies has served customers across industries including the federal government, financial services, telecommunications, information technology and healthcare.

Lee has proudly created a unique corporate culture within Lee Technologies, incorporating a professional working atmosphere with a social and philanthropic commitment to community and a balance between work and family obligations. His creative leadership led to his recognition and award as a recipient of the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for E-Services in 2000.

In addition to Coaxis, Inc., Lee currently serves on various boards including the Wolf Trap Foundation for Performing Arts (Chairman), Virginia Tech Board of Visitors, Loyola University Maryland Board of Trustees, The Economic Club of Washington, DC, Northern Virginia Technology Council, Middleburg Financial Company and Aegis Mobile. Mr. Lee holds a bachelor of arts in economics and business administration from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA, and resides with his family in Middleburg, VA.

Ken Boyda brings extensive business experience to the Coaxis, Inc. Board of Directors. He is currently the Managing Director of KLB Associates LLC, a consulting firm providing strategic management services for the security industry. Prior to this position, he served as President and CEO of GE Security, Inc., a global company focused on communication technologies and information services for security, safety and lifestyle enhancement needs of consumers, businesses and governments. Earlier, Ken served as president, CEO and director at Interlogix, Inc., a NASDAQ listed company until it was acquired by General Electric Company to form GE Security in 2002. He also served as president and CEO of the predecessor company SLC Technologies, Inc., a technology and manufacturing leader in the electronic security industry.

In addition to Coaxis, Inc., Ken has served on the Boards of several technology companies in the security and safety industry including VideoIQ Inc., and Ahura Scientific, Inc. In 2006, he was inducted into the SSI (Security Sales & Integration) Hall of Fame, a lifetime achievement award that recognizes those individuals whose distinguished careers have helped shape the electronic security industry.

Miles Haladay is currently a Product Manager for the Viewpoint Construction Software Development team and has worked for Viewpoint since the beginning of his career, starting in the Marketing group as a Marketing Development Specialist. Having a natural aptitude for sales, Miles later moved on to the Channel Sales Manager role, where he was responsible for managing Viewpoint’s channel partner relationships. His knowledge of the company and the construction industry as a whole is important to his role on the Coaxis Board of Directors.

In his free time, Miles loves enjoys spending time with his family and snowboarding when time allows. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in History from Yale, Haladay earned his law degree from University of Oregon.

Harry Taylor has extensive experience and knowledge regarding technology and technology-based service company investments. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for fast growing companies, Coaxis, Inc,, CoSentry and e-Rewards, and was formerly a board member of IntraLinks and Numara Software.

Prior to joining global growth private equity firm, TA Associates in 2005, Taylor was an associate at Stone Point Capital in Greenwich, Connecticut. He also worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he was a Financial Analyst in the Principal Investment Area and the Investment Banking Technology Group. Taylor received an AB degree, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, in Economics from Hamilton College and an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School.

Serving on Coaxis’, Inc., Board of Directors, Ashu is a Principal at TA Associates and focuses on investments in technology and technology-based services companies. Prior to joining TA Associates in 2011, he was a Principal at Francisco Partners serving on the Board of Directors for a number of private technology companies, including EF Johnson Technologies, Grass Valley, Mincom, Primavera Systems and WatchGuard Technologies and others. Previously, he worked in the Leveraged Finance Group within the Investment Banking Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. Ashu received a BS, summa cum laude, in Computer Science and an MEng in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University, and an MBA as a Baker Scholar with High Distinction from Harvard Business School.

Jim Paulson brings nearly 30 years of product development, operational, sales, and strategic marketing leadership and experience across North American and International markets to his role as Secretary of the Coaxis Board of Directors. He joined Viewpoint Construction Software, in January 2008 and serves as the organization’s Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Viewpoint, Paulson served as General Manager for the Intrusion Security Group of General Electric Company from 2004-2008. At GE, Jim led the global engineering, design and manufacturing of high tech security electronic hardware and software and was responsible for over $200 million in annual revenues.

Before GE, Paulson held a variety of sales and marketing leadership roles including Director of Marketing for Interlogix which grew from being a $50 million U.S. based manufacturer into a $650M global leader over the seven year period. Paulson holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and an MBA from the University of Oregon.

Ben Ertischek is the Chief Financial Officer for Coaxis, joining the company in 2009. Ertischek has been instrumental in facilitating the financial programs that led to over 40% in revenue growth for Viewpoint two years in a row and he continues being instrumental in the strategic implementation of the new ERP system for the company - making sure it scales along with the company’s growth. Additionally, with 20% of our product sales generated from outside the United States, Ertischek has been responsible for successfully leading Viewpoint according to international financial and legal regulations.

When not spending time with his family, Ertischek is a member of the Portland Financial Executives Institute and remains active with the Portland Princeton Alumni association. Additionally, he and his wife have donated a large amount of time as co-chairs of the Portland American Heart Association fundraising dinner. Ertischek attended Princeton as an undergrad and then received his MBA in Finance from New York University (NYU).
